Context
W Ventures is a Berlin-based venture capital firm with a portfolio of high-profile names — Corgi, Klaviyo, Harmattan AI, Numeral and SmithRx to name a few. Their existing website had fallen behind — visually dated, structurally rigid, and no longer matching the stature of the companies they back. They needed a complete digital overhaul that would stand credibly alongside the caliber of their investments.
Challenge
Unlike a typical VC site built around text and logos, W Ventures needed a design that balances authority with approachability — serious enough for institutional credibility, dynamic enough to attract founders. The UX/UI had to communicate trust and vision simultaneously, while a CMS-driven backend was essential to let the team independently update portfolio companies, news, and team content as the firm scales.
Solution
I led both the UX/UI design and full Webflow development, crafting an interface that pairs clean editorial layouts with purposeful motion. GSAP-powered scroll animations and a custom dark-theme experience give the site a distinctive presence, while the entire content layer — portfolio companies, team bios, news — runs on Webflow's CMS for complete editorial autonomy. Semantic heading structure and performance optimization ensure strong technical SEO foundations throughout.
Outcome
- A bold, redesigned digital identity that positions W Ventures as a credible, modern European VC
- Custom dark-theme UI with scroll-driven GSAP animations reinforcing the firm's forward-looking brand
- Fully CMS-driven architecture — portfolio companies, team, and news all editable without developer support
- UX/UI designed and developed end-to-end by TONYTONY, from wireframes through to production
- SEO-ready structure with clean document hierarchy and structured data groundwork for future growth
