Context
Hymn is an independent branding and design agency based in Lausanne and Zurich. Their website no longer accurately reflected the quality and maturity of their work — a deliberate evolution helped align their digital presence with their positioning, with a particular focus on performance, interactivity, and technical architecture.
Challenge
The art direction and design were fully led by Hymn’s internal team, with a clear and well-developed vision delivered in Figma. TONYTONY handled the development side, ensuring a technical implementation that met their standards. Rooted in motion design, their approach relies heavily on motion and video to express the refinement of each project. Orchestrating this volume of content within a bilingual platform, without compromising performance, was the central challenge.
Solution
Developed in Webflow from Hymn’s Figma designs, the site focuses on video performance and editorial autonomy. Video content is loaded progressively: above the fold, Vimeo embeds are dynamically injected for instant autoplay, while below, the Vimeo API takes over with deferred loading triggered on scroll. Combined with GSAP animations and a bilingual CMS, the result remains fast and fully manageable.
